From its necessary use in classics like Lagaan, to Indian rappers adding obligatory (are they though?) mixed-language verses to every song, we examine the rise of English and hip-hop culture in modern day Bollywood. Does the advent of the Universal Language add to the storytelling of Bollywood films, or does it serve only to detract from the traditional feel of a Bollywood movie?
